I'm sorry, for some reason blogspot isn't posting those pictures.
-breanna and giraffe
-kids on firetruck
-herero village

will try again in february and if still no success will make a different webpage.

End of the year

These photos are: Passing through Botswana we stopped overnight in the Kalahari and when we woke up in the morning there was a baby giraffe outside our cabin. Here the baby giraffe is making friends with Breanna.

Giving a ride on a fire truck to some underprivileged kids at a school in Swakopmund. Sharing the gospel, and then trying to encourage them with practical demonstratins of love.

Kim, Breanna, and went to a Herero village and camped out. It was a great opportunity to fellowship with some Herero believers and share the gospel with surrounding villagers. Mannn, it was hot though!

Winter 2008/9 updated

Whoah, this update is way overdue. I totally blame it on Facebook. Those of you who have gotten on facebook know exactly what I mean. It links you with the rest of the world, but when the rest of the world is sending you email messages it takes time to respond!

Ok, we're still doing school outreaches. During the week, then on weekends youth and children rallies, funday, crusades. It's been great! Was able to take a group of "vulnerable" children on a ride on a fire truck. That was a blast. You know, those kids were singing when that fire truck was going down the road, blaring its siren. And they were singing to the Lord... "He is the King, of Kings, Lord of Lords, His name is Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, ohhhhhhh, He is the King." Now, that was a life highlight!

We were also priveleged to go be able to go back to the usa and attend the World Missions Summit. It was phenomenal. We had a fantastic time meeting with college students and encouraging them to give a year of their life to missions. Now, we're back in Namibia and tomorrow will be heading up to Otjiwarongo for a week of meetings with pastors. Then, I leave immediately following that to go up to Opuwo for a week of doing school assemblies, and youth and children's outreaches. In the midst of that, I'll also be training churches to do children's ministries. Show and tell, show and tell.

I've also joined with Pastor Gustav here in Swakopmund to help him plant a church in Henties Bay, the next city going north along the coast. One of the highlights of January was the all-night prayer meeting that I helped with. I've been helping with them for the last 5 or 6 months and it really has been a powerful thing. Tiring, but empowering! The last one was the best. People were dancing more than you see at a wedding! Lots of praising, lots of rejoicing, lots of praying.
